DEEP IN THE WOODS GIFT SHOP is a consignment shop so you never know what will be coming through the door. - INDOOR DECOR: We have quilts, wallhangings, & table runners, crocheted doilies & afghans, framed cross stitch, photography, original artwork & prints, wrought iron candle holders & trivets, baskets, woodburning, scrollwork & carvings, silk & dried floral arrangements & pine cone wreaths, driftwood lamps, pottery, stained glass, painted glassware & ornaments, and porcelain dolls. We even have cedar kindling & white birch fireplace logs.
- ANTLER PENS: Exquisite ink pens from Moose or Deer Antlers.
- CANDLES: We make our own long lasting and very fragrant gel candles.
- COOKING/KITCHEN USE: Maple syrup & honey, ploye mixes, food safe carved salad spoons, bean spoons, and beautiful wooden bowls.
- CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES: Home knit/crocheted sweaters, hats, scarves, socks & mittens are made locally by several talented artisans. Quilted tote bags available in a wide array of colors. We also carry a fine line of imported alpaca clothing & accessories.
- DOLLS: Our fabric dolls are made by a very talented lady. Our porcelain dolls are by a couple in nearby Ashland. They make their own dolls, do their own firing (sometimes up to 12) depending on the detail. All the faces are hand painted to perfection and dressed accordingly.
- PERSONAL CARE: We have handmade soap in a lot of luscious scents that are very gentle to the skin. There is also an herbal apothecary available.
- JEWELRY: Layers of vibrant art and dichroic glass are cut, assembled, and kiln-fused to produce these striking pendants, earrings, and bracelets. Sterling silver or gold-plated findings finish each piece. Pendant bails will accommodate most chains or you may purchase a neck wire separately. Though some designs are similar, no two are exactly alike, making each piece uniquely yours.
- STATIONERY/GREETING CARDS: We offer a large assortment of original photo-cards & postcards by local photographers, handmade scrapbooked notecards, notepads, and journals. In addition to the local offerings, we carry some Leanin’ Tree cards as well.
- BOOKS: There is a nice selection of books mostly by Maine authors.
- FURNITURE: Very comfortable Adirondack style rockers available in three sizes, stools with woven jute seats, children’s chairs, tables & doll cribs complete with pad and matching crib quilt and pillow. New items for us are the clothes drying racks made out of knotty pine.
- OUTDOOR/GARDEN DECOR: Wrought iron garden crafts, rustic cedar benches and planters, birdhouses, & feeders, and hand-carved birdfeeders & garden gnome stakes to name a few. We also carry “official” bluebird houses. We make our own twig wreaths, and also offer our fresh balsam wreaths and Christmas trees during the holiday season, plus a whole lot more!!!
- PERENNIALS: Come spring, we offer freshly dug perennials from our gardens. We garden for the enjoyment of it all so you will see grasses, flowers, and shrubs galore. Between the deer, birds, bees, butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, bunnies, etc., there is always a lot of action going on here. This is why we garden…to enjoy nature. Our local deer herd keeps us busy trying out different plants to grow that they won’t eat. Trial and error and it has been a long, enjoyable journey. We also offer 2 ounce packages of Wild Lupine Seed gathered by one of our crafters.

We are located in Aroostook County… (33 miles North of Patten and 8 miles South of Masardis) Turn off Rt. 11 onto the OxBow Rd. 3 miles in, on the right. There is a sign.
